The Fomalhaut Nunatak is an isolated and around 900 m high nunatak with a flattened peak in the west of the Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises 10.7 km east of Mount Alpheratz .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1976 after the star Fomalhaut in the constellation Southern Pisces .
