Fondiaria-Sai was an Italian insurance company headquartered in Turin .
Fondiaria-Sai was listed in the FTSE MIB financial index. The company was created in December 2002 from the merger of the Italian companies La Fondiaria SpA and SAI SpA. The Fondiaria-Sai Group comprised around 100 companies. In addition to the insurance business as a core activity, the group was also active in the banking business. In December 2013 the insurance companies Fondiaria-Sai merged with Milano Assicurazioni , Unipol Assicurazioni and Premafin , resulting in UnipolSai SpA. It started in 2014, is listed in the FTSE MIB and is managed by Unipol Gruppo SpA
