Fonoifua is an island in the Ha'apai archipelago that belongs to the Kingdom of Tonga . Fonoifua has about 80 residents.

geography

The motu is located in the center of ʻOtu Muʻomuʻa together with Tanoa and Meama , as well as the reefs Mai Reef and Lua Anga . In the west are the islands of Nukufaiau and Nukutula and in the east is the island group ʻOtu Tolu Group with Fetokopunga .

climate

The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds. Like the other islands in the Ha'apai group, Fonoifua is occasionally hit by cyclones .
