Meama is one of two islands in the Ha'apai archipelago of the same name. It belongs politically to the Kingdom of Tonga and lies in the area of ʻOtu Muʻomuʻa .
geography
The Motu is located in the center of ʻOtu Muʻomuʻa together with Tanoa and Fonoifua , as well as the reefs Mai Reef and Lua Anga . In the west are the islands of Nukufaiau and Nukutula and in the east is the island group ʻOtu Tolu Group with Fetokopunga .
climate
The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds. Like the other islands of the Ha'apai group, Meama is occasionally hit by cyclones .
