Font editor

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Magazine editors , technical terminology also font editors (of English font , "writing") are computer programs for creating and editing fonts for use on the computer.

While in the past mainly bitmap fonts were created and used in many different, mostly proprietary raster graphics formats (for example BDF, Bitmap Distribution Format ), outline fonts in vector formats are common today. Typical representatives are PostScript fonts (especially Type 1 fonts ), TrueType , OpenType , CID-coded fonts and, more rarely, multiple master fonts .
