Music style and lyrics
The music was described in the Rites of Eleusis as "symphonic and nostalgic" and as "cold". The use of different voices gives the music a folkloric tendency. The synthesizer plays an essential role in music. The lyrics deal with topics such as the final battle and the establishment of a new kingdom in Satan's name ( Det nye riket ), Norwegian nature ( Over bleknede blåner til dommedag ) and Attila ( Hunnerkongens sorgsvarte ferd over steppene ).
Reviews
In the Rites of Eleusis , the band was counted among the leaders in the Norwegian scene. Frank Stöver wrote in Voices from the Darkside that the band had already been impressive with their single, and that their debut album was "even stronger". He hopes their attitude is okay too, as they could one day be among the leading bands.
