Forseti was a German Neofolk band from Jena .

history

Was the central head and the only permanent member of the band Andreas Ritter, with a frequently changing cast three albums , including with guest musicians such as Ian Read of Fire + Ice , Douglas Pearce of Death in June , : Of the Wand & the Moon: or Sun Hagal , published.

Andreas Ritter survived a cardiac arrest in May 2005 , the health consequences of which he is still struggling with.

2006 appeared Solidarity - Compilation Forsete Lives! , the proceeds of which will help the musician to cope with the health restrictions. The sampler was initiated by Uwe Nolte from the band Orplid .

style

Old folk songs, pagan and mystical themes or poems , for example by Goethe or Hesse , were musically implemented. However, the Romantics had a particularly pronounced influence on Forseti's work.
