The forester's house Auerberg is a listed former forester's house in the district of Auerberg in the municipality of Südharz in Saxony-Anhalt . Today it is used as a restaurant with an attached holiday village.

It is located to the east at the foot of the Großer Auerberg in a corner at the confluence of the L 235 on the L 236. Opposite the forester's house, the hiking trail to the summit of the Großer Auerberg and the Joseph Cross located there begins .

Architecture and history

The one to two-storey forester's house was probably built around 1840. The plastered half-timbered building was rebuilt and expanded in the characteristic style of the regional architecture of the Harz at the end of the 19th century, probably in 1886 and 1900. With its rounded line, the building follows the course of the streets.

In the local heritage list , the forester's house since August 29, 1996 under the registration number 094 30 417 as a monument listed. The forester's house is considered to be technically, economically and historically significant.
