The Forsvarets medalje for feltsport ( German : Medaille für Wehrsport ) is a Norwegian badge of honor that has been awarded since 2012 for having repeated various sports badges several times .

history

The soldiers of the Norwegian armed forces were allowed to wear various sports badges as a ribbon buckle or in the original on their uniform . The system was reformed because the large number of sports badges meant that other and more highly valued military awards did not come into their own.

With the entry into force of the reorganization for Norwegian medals and decorations, the Forsvarets medalje for feltsport together with the Forsvarets medalje for skyting (= Rifle Medal of the Armed Forces) have been the only two approved badges for sporting achievements since January 1, 2012.

description

The Forsvarets medalje for feltsport consists of an oval wreath made of gold-plated metal, which is surrounded by a green field. The emblem of the Norwegian Armed Forces is on the top of the wreath, a branch of laurel lies diagonally across the center and there is a star at the bottom of the green field .

The medal hangs on a black ribbon, which is broken in the middle by a white stripe with green edges. The green and white stripe runs diagonally on the ribbon buckle , just as it was intended for the ribbon of the medal according to the earlier designs.

badge

To receive the Forsvarets medalje for feltsport, three of the following eight sports badges must have been achieved in the gold level. There must be at least two military badges below, so that a maximum of one of the three civilian badges can be rated.
