Fort Le Marchant is the ruin of a coastal fort on the extreme northern tip of the Channel Island of Guernsey near the village of Bordeaux .

As early as 1680 there was a fort at this point, which was called Fort L'Angle . At the end of the 18th century the fear of a French attack on the island grew . So the fort was finally expanded in 1805 and named after the then Lieutenant Bailiff of Guernsey, Eleazar Le Marchant . A further expansion took place in 1854 with the construction of barracks on the land side, which were protected by a moat . The barracks were later demolished and the trench filled.

There is now a shooting range near the old fort . If a red flag is raised there, it is used and the fort cannot be visited.
