Forum sheet metal
Forum Blech is a specialist, branch and professional association for the sheet metal processing industry. The sheet metal forum aims to promote the technical and scientific development of sheet metal processing and metal construction in Switzerland . Companies as well as industry and specialist organizations from Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein are affiliated .
history
The main focus of the Forum Sheet Metal Association policy is geared towards the needs of the sheet metal industry, be it suppliers, manufacturers of their own products or service providers.
The association was founded in 1993; the first president was Peter Schaufelberger. Forum Blech is regularly presented at trade fairs. In March 2019, the “Ble.ch” exhibition took place for the first time at Messe Bern.
The Blech Forum has been chaired by Christian Stein, Niederönz , since 2013 . The association secretariat is in Hildisrieden .

The Association Forum Blech is an independent, national organization and is affiliated with Swissmechanic Switzerland in Weinfelden (TG).
The Sheet Metal Forum leads the following specialist commissions:
- Politics and economy (representation of interests and services)
- SWLC (Expert Commission of Swiss Water and Laser Cutting Companies)
- Vocational training (basic vocational training production mechanic EFZ and plant and equipment manufacturer EFZ)
- Akademy ( further education )
Member firms
In total, Forum Blech represents around 120 member companies and works with partners such as the IFU (Institute for Metal Forming Technology), the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland .
