The Foveran Parish Church is the parish church of Foveran and located in the old heart of the Barony of Foveran .

Foveran ( Gaelic : Fobharan ) is a village in the Scottish Council Area Aberdeenshire (one of the 32 administrative districts of Scotland) and is located about twenty kilometers north of Aberdeen not far from the North Sea coast . The name comes from the word fuaran , which in the Scottish Gaelic language means a place with a spring.

The territorial dedication of the hereditary nobility title Turing Baronet , which still exists today, refers to this place. The title was created in 1638 for John Turing († 1662), lord of the feudal barony of Foveran. There was also a title of nobility Forbes Baronet , whose territorial dedication also referred to Foveran; this was created in 1700 for Samuel Forbes († 1717) and has been inactive since the death of the 3rd Baronet in 1760.
