Foz do Douro ( Portuguese "mouth of the Douro ") is a place and a former municipality ( Freguesia ) of the northern Portuguese city of Porto .
The community had 11,105 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Foz do Douro, Nevogilde and Aldoar were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Aldoar, Foz do Douro e Nevogilde .
