Frédéric Bolli (born August 16, 1953 in La Chaux-de-Fonds ) is a Swiss composer and singer.

Life

After graduating from high school in Frauenfeld, Frédéric Bolli studied mathematics , physics and musicology at the University of Zurich , and later school music.

His training as a composer began as an autodidact. He also took singing lessons from Rudolf A. Hartmann and Ivan Neumann in Zurich and from Elsa Seyfert in Konstanz. He also attended Maria Stader's master class . The composition lessons with the Zurich composer Rolf Urs Ringger started only later. A study visit with the English composer Ivan Moody in Lisbon rounded off his compositional training.

Frédéric Bolli is an author at the Schweizer Singbuch publishing house. His compositions have been published by Breitkopf & Härtel, Edition Brendel and Pan Verlag.
