Frédéric de Portal
Frédéric de Portal , full Pierre Paul Frédéric Baron de Portal , (born November 7, 1804 in Bordeaux , † January 10, 1876 in Paris ) was a French lawyer and author.
Frédéric de Portal was the son of the ship owner and later Minister of the Navy, Pierre-Barthélémy Portal d'Albarèdes (1765-1845). In 1824 he became an attache at the French embassy in Dresden, later in St. Petersburg, and in 1832 he became maître des requêtes at the Conseil d'État . In 1838 he became a Knight of the Legion of Honor .
