The Frassenhütte is one of the eight section huts of the Vorarlberg Alpine Club of the Austrian Alpine Club . The first hut was built as an alpine hut on the Pfannenknechtalpe at Hohen Frassen around 1864 . In 1894 Messrs. Gassner and Muther from Bludenz converted it into an accommodation hut for tourists . A veranda has already been set up. In 1927 the hut and the property were transferred to the Alpine Club as a gift, until the building authorities complained in 1973, but little was changed in the following decades. The forced change then led to the hut being rebuilt. A temporary solution was opened in 1985. the final acceptance did not take place until 1990.
