The Framnäs Point is a headland on the northern coast of the island of South Georgia in the South Atlantic . It is located 1.5 km southwest of Cape Saunders on the north shore of Stromness Bay .
The name of the headland, which has been established before 1920 and means something like "protruding nose", probably comes from Norwegian whalers.
