François-Christophe-Edouard Kellermann , duc de Valmy (born April 16, 1802 in Paris , † October 2, 1868 in Passy ) was a French statesman and diplomat.

Life

François-Christophe-Edouard Kellermann, third and last Duke of Valmy , son of General Kellermann and grandson of Marshal Kellermann , embarked on a diplomatic career during the Restoration.

Always very devoted to the Bourbons , he resigned from the civil service in 1833 and has since been considered a mainstay of the legitimist party in the press as well as in the chamber into which he was elected in 1842 by the Toulouse department . In 1848 he withdrew completely from political life.
