François Garde

François Garde (* 1959 in Le Cannet , Alpes-Maritimes department , France ) is a French author and a senior civil servant .

Life

After graduating from the École nationale d'administration in 1984 , Garde went to New Caledonia in the Pacific as Deputy Secrétaire général and worked there from 1991 to 1993. From 2000 to 2004 he was the Supreme Administrator (Administrateur supérieur) of the French terres australes et antarctiques . He returned to New Caledonia in 2009 for one year as a general secretary. Since then he has been Vice President of the Administrative Court in Dijon in Burgundy and then of the Administrative Court in Grenoble .

Garde began writing at the age of forty and has published various non-fiction books and two novels since 2003. Two of his works have since been published in German.
