François Sevez
François Adolphe Laurent Sevez (born October 22, 1891 in Chambéry , † February 29, 1948 in Ichenheim ) was a French officer .
Sevez was a captain in World War I and received the Legion of Honor in 1918 . During the Second World War he signed the German document of surrender from Colonel General Alfred Jodl on May 7, 1945 in Reims as a witness .
From 1946 to 1948 he was deputy commander of the Troupes Françaises d'Occupation en Allemagne . He had a fatal accident in a hunting accident in Germany.
