Francesco Ballesio (* 1860 in Turin , † 1923 in Tivoli ) was an Italian painter.

Francesco Ballesio was born in Turin in 1803. He first attended the academy in Turin and then moved to Rome , where he completed his studies and where he settled permanently. He painted mainly oriental themes, starting with photographs, since he himself was never in the Orient . He earned a modest international reputation through his paintings, including a. he exhibited at the international exhibition in Rome in 1883.
