Francesco Barbella

Francesco Barbella (* around 1692 in Naples ; † 1732 there ) was an Italian violinist and composer .

Life

Francesco Barbella was a student of Gian Carlo Cailò . After his training he became a lecturer for string instruments at the “Conservatorio di Santa Maria di Loreto” in Naples. References to his work can be found in the curriculum vitae of his students , especially through his work as a teacher at the Conservatorio . These were among others his son Emanuele Barbella and Pasquale Anfossi , Nicola Fiorenza and Davide Perez .

His works include two sonatas for recorder and strings from a Neapolitan composite manuscript, sonatas for violin and B. c. and a Concertino a 4 for 3 violins and B. c.
