Francesco Pricolo (born January 30, 1891 in Saponara di Grumento , † October 14, 1980 in Rome ) was an Italian air force officer. From 1939 to 1941 he commanded the Italian Air Force .

Pricolo initially served as a pioneer officer in an airship battalion in the Italian Army . During the First World War he took part in around 60 combat missions on airships . After founding the Italian Air Force ( Regia Aeronautica ) , he joined the new armed forces , in which he commanded the 2nd Air Corps (2ª squadra aerea) in Padua from 1933 to 1939 . From November 10, 1939 to November 15, 1941 he was chief of staff at the head of the Italian Air Force. He was succeeded by General Rino Corso Fougier .
