Francis Sule

Francis Sule (born December 24, 1963 ) is a Nigerian table tennis player with his active days in the 1980s and 1990s. He was one of the best African players and took part in four world championships.

Career

Francis Sule achieved his greatest successes at the African Championships . Here he won the team competition in 1980 and 1985. In 1980 he reached the semi-finals in singles, in doubles he was African champion. In 1985 he won silver in doubles and mixed. Another individual silver medal was awarded in 1990. At the Commonwealth Championships in 1985 he won the doubles title together with Atanda Musa . From 1979 to 1985 he took part in four world championships , but never came close to medal ranks.

In 1985 Francis Sule joined the German association TTSG 76 Wittlich . With his men's team, he was champion of the 2nd Bundesliga Southwest in the 1986/87 season . In 1988 he moved to TTC 46 Weinheim , in 1992 he played for the Croatian club STK Osijek.
