The defensive midfielder began his career in 2005 with CD Universidad Católica . He stayed with the club until 2013 but was loaned to other clubs several times. In 2013 he was loaned to CA Osasuna , but was then given a contract there. Then he played one season on loan for Club Bruges and won the Belgian Cup there in 2015. Further positions followed in Mexico at Chiapas FC and CD Cruz Azul . Then he moved to the Argentine club CA Independiente . Since 2019 he has been playing again with CD Universidad Católica and was again champion at the end of the season.
