Francisco Moreno Capdevila

Francisco Moreno Capdevila (born January 18, 1926 in Barcelona , † May 13, 1995 in Mexico City ) was a Mexican painter, graphic artist and sculptor of Spanish origin.

biography

Moreno came to Mexico as a political refugee in 1939 and took on Mexican citizenship. Under Santos Balmori and Carlos Alvarado Lang he learned painting and the art of drawing, and turned increasingly to wall painting with great enthusiasm . In addition to painting, graphics, drawing, engraving and illustrations, he was equally concerned with sculpture and taught at the Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas (ENAP), which emerged from the Academia de San Carlos .

Since 1988 he was a member of the Academia de Artes .
