Carlos Alvarado Lang

Carlos Alvarado Lang (born January 14, 1905 in La Piedad de Cabadas , Michoacán, † September 3, 1961 in Mexico City ) was a Mexican graphic artist .

Alvarado Lang studied graphic design from 1920 at the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes (ENBA) in Mexico City under Emiliano Valadéz, whose chair he took over in 1929. After the range of courses at ENBA was expanded in 1930 and the graphics classes were divided into three areas, Alvarado Lang taught metal printing processes at ENBA. From 1942 to 1949 he was director of the school.

After his death, his work was exhibited several times, including at the Escuela Nacional de Pintura, Escultura y Grabado "La Esmeralda" , the Museo de Arte Moderno and the Museum of the Palacio de Bellas Artes .
