Francisco Uribe (born January 11, 1966 in Tehuacán , Puebla ) is a retired Mexican football player on the position of a striker .
career
societies
Uribe began his professional career in the 1985/86 season at Club Universidad Nacional , for which he scored his first goal in the Primera División in a home game played on January 31, 1986 against the reigning and future runner-up Tampico-Madero FC . The game was won 2-1.
Uribe spent the next two seasons with CD Coyotes Neza before completing one-year guest appearances with Atlético Potosino and Atlante .
In 1990 Uribe moved to Club León , with whom he won the Mexican football championship in the 1991/92 season. He then worked for four years at Club America , with whom he won the CONCACAF Champions Cup in 1992.
In the Clausura 2002 Uribe ended his active career with the Tiburones Rojos Veracruz , who were playing in the second-rate Primera División 'A' at the time .
Uribe also played on an amateur basis for a team called San Sebastián in the Española de Fútbol League .
National team
Between 1991 and 1993 Uribe played a total of 19 international appearances for the Mexican national team , in which he scored nine goals.
