Francisco de Vasconcelos

Francisco de Vasconcelos (born January 15, 1975 in Osso Huna , Baucau , Portuguese Timor ) is a politician and Protestant pastor from East Timor . He is a member of the Partidu Libertasaun Popular (PLP).

Political career

Vasconcelos holds a bachelor's degree in agriculture. From 2013 to 2016 he was Commissioner of the Comissão Nacional de Eleições (CNE).

In the 2017 parliamentary elections , Vasconcelos failed to rank 11 on the PLP's electoral list. In the early elections in 2018 , Vasconcelos was in 28th place in the Aliança para Mudança e Progresso (AMP), to which the PLP also belongs, and made it into the national parliament of East Timor .

On July 4, 2018, Vasconcelos was elected Vice-President of the Parliamentary Commission on Constitutional Affairs and Justice (Commission A).

Vasconcelos is the brother of PLP leader and current Prime Minister Taur Matan Ruak .
