Franciszek Araszkiewicz

Franciszek Araszkiewicz (born July 14, 1986 ) is a Polish composer, installation, performance and video artist.

Araszkiewicz studied at the Kraków Music Academy with Krzysztof Knittel (2009–13) and Marcel Chyrzyński (2013–15). He composes instrumental and vocal music, electroacoustic and film music and is active in the field of installation, performance and video art.

His compositions have been performed at the Gramodeska Young European Composers' Competition in Brno and Prague 2011, the International Composers Festival in Krakow in 2012 and 2014, at the AHEAD Festival in Vilnius in 2014 and the Festival Audio Art 2014. His installations have been shown at the Audio Art Festival 2011, the Kultura 2.0 Festival in Warsaw and the Athens Video Art Festival 2013 , among others . His composition Musique Logistique for two pianos received the second prize in 2013 at the national composition competition "..kiedy myślę Messiaen ...".
