Franciszek Bronikowski
Franciszek Jan Bronikowski (born February 25, 1907 in Bydgoszcz , † December 1, 1964 in Milanówek ) was a Polish rower .
Franciszek Bronikowski rowed for the rowing company BTW Bydgoszcz . At the European Championships in 1926 , the Polish four-man with helmsman in the line-up of Franciszek Bronikowski, Leon Birkholc , Mieczyslaw Figurski , Franciszek Janik and Franciszek Brzesinski won the bronze medal behind the boats from Italy and Switzerland. At the Olympic Games in 1928 , the Italian four-man won this boat class ahead of the Swiss and Poles with Franciszek Bronikowski, Edmund Jankowski , Leon Birkholc, Bernard Ormanowski and Bolesław Drewek. Birkholc won his last international medal at the European Championships in 1929 . Together with Jerzy Braun , Edmund Jankowski and Franciszek Bronikowski he received the bronze medal in the four without a helmsman .
His grandson Adam Bronikowski also rowed for Poland at the Olympic Games.
