Leon Birkholc
Leszek Leon Birkholc (born July 7, 1904 in Crone an der Brahe , † April 22, 1968 in Kłodzko ) was a Polish rower .
Leon Birkholc rowed for the rowing company BTW Bydgoszcz . At the European Championships in 1926 , the Polish four-man with helmsman in the line-up of Franciszek Bronikowski , Leon Birkholc, Mieczyslaw Figurski , Franciszek Janik and Franciszek Brzesinski won the bronze medal behind the boats from Italy and Switzerland. At the Olympic Games in 1928 , the Italian four-man won this boat class ahead of the Swiss and Poles with Franciszek Bronikowski, Edmund Jankowski , Leon Birkholc, Bernard Ormanowski and Bolesław Drewek . Birkholc won his last international medal at the European Championships in 1929 . Together with Jerzy Braun , Edmund Jankowski and Franciszek Bronikowski he received the bronze medal in the four without a helmsman .
