Franciszek Frydrychowicz

Franciszek Frydrychowicz (* 1820 in Koślinka near Tuchel , West Prussia Province , † March 23, 1908 in Tuchel) was a Polish activist and member of parliament in Tuchel.

Life

Franciszek Frydrychowicz founded a local club of the Polish League ( Liga Polska ) in Tuchel with others in the revolutionary year of 1848 and published in their magazine Szkółka narodowa . He worked as an interpreter at the city's district court and became a member of the city council. In 1868 he and others founded the Volksbank in Tuchel ( Tucholski Bank Ludowy ) and was treasurer (podskarbi) there. Frydrychowicz was temporarily chairman of the city council and a member of the district council, where he stood up for the interests of the Polish population.

He was married to Maria Malinowska, daughter of the mayor of Gollub and sister of the scholar Franciszek Ksawery Malinowski . Children were

  • Zenon Frydrychowicz (1851–1929), lawyer and first Polish court president in Bydgoszcz from 1920
