Franck Queudrue (born August 27, 1978 in Paris ) is a French football player . The defender has been under contract with Red Star Paris since 2012 .

Career

Queudrue began his professional career at RC Lens . There he made 41 appearances in Ligue 1 in two years . In 2001 he was loaned to Middlesbrough FC for a year , only to be committed by manager Steve McClaren for £ 2.5 million. He was mainly used as a left defender at Middlesbrough, but could also play in central defense or midfield.

With Middlesbrough he won the League Cup in 2004 with a 2-1 win over Bolton Wanderers, this was the first major title in the history of Middlesbrough FC. Two years later Queudrue was in the final of the 2005/06 UEFA Cup with the club , but had to admit defeat to Sevilla FC with a 4-0 defeat.

With the move from manager Steve McClaren to the coaching bench of the English national team, Queudrue's time at Middlesbrough ended after 150 Premier League games and he moved to Fulham FC for an unknown transfer fee . The left-back was a regular at Fulham for a long time, but fell out of favor under manager Chris Coleman after a few weak games and lost his regular place. When Lawrie Sanchez took over the managerial role for the new season , Queudrue received the clearance to move. He moved to Birmingham City in the summer of 2007 for a transfer fee of two million pounds .

Queudrue is also known for his lack of discipline, he has already been sent off the field seven times in the Premier League and once in Ligue 1 and has been cautioned with yellow in league games well over 60 times during his professional career. In October 2010 he returned to his hometown club.
