Frank Eveslage

Frank Eveslage (born February 21, 1950 in East Berlin ) is a German economist and former Vice President for Budget at the Humboldt University in Berlin .

After studying economics at Humboldt University, Eveslage worked as a research assistant from 1974 until his doctorate in 1977 . From 1978 to 1983 he was the city ​​councilor for finance in Berlin-Marzahn , then head of the finance department of the GDR Ministry for Higher and Technical Education . In 1990 he became Deputy Minister for Education and Science. From 1991 to 1998 Eveslage was head of the budget department at Humboldt University, and since 1994 he has also been the Chancellor's deputy .

In 1999 he became the acting Chancellor, and since the transition to a presidential constitution at the university, he has been Vice President for Budget, Technology and Human Resources since 2000. His term of office would have ended in the summer of 2010 due to the contestation of the election of the elected successor Ulrike Gutheil and after her rejection of the office, Eveslage was Vice President until December 2011.
