Frank Hoffmann (born December 16, 1959 in Dessau ) is a German politician ( Die Linke ). From 2011 to 2016 he was a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt.

Life

Hoffmann graduated from high school in 1978 and became a mechanical engineer in 1983. He then worked as a designer at ZAB Zementanlagenbau Dessau until 1999, then at MyPegasus in Nuremberg , at the Saxony-Anhalt Business Education Center and at the OHM Institute.

In 1985 Hoffmann joined the SED , which later became part of the PDS and Die Linke. Since 1994 he has been a city councilor in Dessau and Dessau-Roßlau . Since 1992 he has been a member of the local board and since 2002 he has been chairman of the Left City Association in Dessau-Roßlau. From 2011 to 2016 he also sat in the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt .

Hoffmann is married and has three children.
