Frank Liedtke

Frank Liedtke (* 1952 in Fagersta , Sweden) is a German linguist .

His work focuses on the one hand on the relationship between the language system and use of language, both from a linguistic point of view and in a comparative way, and on the other hand on analyzes of public language use and the relationship between language and politics, above all the use of terms . He also works on the relationship between language and writing and on linguistic action in theatrical productions.

Since the summer semester 2008, Liedtke has held a professorship for pragmatics at the Institute for German Studies at the University of Leipzig , which he had represented since the winter semester 2007/2008.
