Frank Mattern (journalist)

Frank Mattern (* 1937 in Hamm ) is a German journalist and author.

Life

After school and university in Switzerland, Frank Mattern volunteered at a Ruhr area newspaper and then worked as a local manager. The further career path led him to the trade fair in Cologne, where he was responsible for location PR and technically oriented trade fairs, via department head positions at magazines, deputy editor-in-chief at the business newspaper> Westkurier <and editor-in-chief at the mining magazine> AS - Arbeit und Sicherheit <. This was followed by six years as the agency manager of the book clubs and member of the Bertelsmann AG marketing group . In 1986, Mattern founded a conception and text agency in which he developed product and service profiles. In addition, until 2001 he was a specialist provider of international trade fair communication for Reed Messen ( Reed Elsevier ) and Koelnmesse worldwide. As a retiree, he deals with the aging society and publishes photographs and short stories. Frank Mattern is the son of Erich Mattern and a nephew of Hermann Mattern .
