Frank Peeters (photographer)
Frank Peeters (* 1947 in Antwerp ) is a Belgian art photographer.
Artistic career
Peeters' international breakthrough began in 1983 after winning first prize in the Biennal Internacional de Arte Fotografica / Escola Panamericana del Arte São Paulo , Brazil , followed by international exhibitions and publications. Greetings from Belgium was exhibited at The Photographers Gallery in London from March 3 to April 17, 1984 .

Dorothy Bohm, co-founder of The Photographers' Gallery: Frank Peeter's photos have secrets and strangeness that intrigue the viewer and make the picture unforgettable. The pictures are most carefully composed and although organized seem like "events". Stone sculptures, sky and clouds, strong shadows, the human figure are part of Peeter's attitude and his dream-inspired world. He has a lot of original ideas and manages to translate them into pictures. He shares his dream world with us in his photos.
