Frank Reinhold (born April 23, 1953 in Obergeißendorf ; † July 14, 2013 in Bennewitz ) was a German dialect and regional historian .

Life

Frank Reinhold studied English and Russian at the Potsdam University of Education and received his doctorate there in 1983. He then worked in the school service. He worked for the Thuringian Dictionary, a joint project between the University of Jena and the Saxon Academy of Sciences. He also worked at the Thuringian State Archives in Greiz.

Reinhold was editor of the magazine Familie und Geschichte at Verlag Degener & Co. and other publications. He was also a member of the “Vogtland Antiquities Research Association of Hohenleuben” and a member of the “Thuringian Folklore Association”.
