Frank Sander

Frank Sander (born February 5, 1980 in Malchin ) is a former German diver .

Life

He attended the CJD Jugenddorf-Christophorusschule Rostock and trained in the Rostock Diving Club. Frank Sander studied sport and biology to become a high school teacher and then medicine at the University of Rostock .

successes

German championship

Since 1998 Frank Sander has been participating in the German diving championships on a regular basis. He was German champion four times in the open air (2000 in combination, 2000 and 2002 in synchronized jumping from the tower with Frank Düffer and in 2006 in jumping from 3 m) and won seven silver and eight bronze medals. In the hall he was a total of three times German champion (2000 and 2001 in the combination, as well as in 2008 in jumping from 1 m) and won 6 silver and 9 bronze medals.

International success

In 2004 Frank Sander took part in the 3 m jumping competitions at the Summer Olympics in Athens. When he took part in the 2003 World Cup in Barcelona and the 2005 World Cup in Montreal , it was enough for a 20th place in the 1m jump. At the European Championships in Madrid in 2004, he finished 5th in jumping from the 1-meter board.
