Frank Scharpenberg (born November 30, 1971 in Rheda-Wiedenbrück ) is a former German soccer player .

He played in defensive midfield. His youth clubs are TSV Victoria Clarholz and FC Gütersloh . Scharpenberg began his career at SC Verl .
