Frank Stöhr

Frank Stöhr (born January 21, 1949 in Meinerzhagen ) was first chairman of the dbb tarifunion from 2003 to 2012 and second chairman of the dbb beamtenbund and tarifunion from 2007 to 2012 .

His tasks in the dbb management committee were primarily the management of the dbb tarifunion , collective bargaining policy, employee issues and supplementary benefits. During his term of office, the reform of the federal employee collective agreement (BAT) to the collective agreements TVöD for the federal government and municipalities and TV-L for the states fell. At the European level, Stöhr represented the dbb in the European Economic and Social Committee from 2002 to 2015 . At CESI , he held the office of treasurer from 2000 to 2016.

He gained experience in staff council work from 1978 to 1987 at the general staff council of the city of Duisburg. The graduate engineer and graduate industrial engineer worked for the waste management companies in the city of Duisburg until 1996 - most recently as head of the finance and data processing department. From 1996 to 2003 he was the full-time deputy chairman of the komba union of North Rhine-Westphalia.

From 2004 to 2008 he was a representative of the trade unions on the Broadcasting Council of Deutsche Welle and from 2008 to 2013 he was Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Deutsche Welle.

In 2006 Stöhr was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon and in 2012 the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class.
