Frank Walthes

Frank Walthes (born November 17, 1963 in Werneck , Franconia ) is a German manager. He has been CEO of the Bavarian Insurance Chamber since 2012 .

Life

Walthes has a doctorate in economics. After university work at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg , study and research stays, participation in executive programs, etc. a. at Harvard Business School , he started in 1996 as an executive assistant at the Allianz Group . There he held various specialist and management positions. From 2003 to 2011 he held various board and management positions, most recently he was a member of the board of management of Allianz Deutschland AG. Since May 2012 Walthes has been chairman of the board of directors of the insurance chamber's group companies.

Walthes is a member of committees of the S-Finanzgruppe , the Association of Public Insurers and other institutions and associations in the industry. These include the GDV ( General Association of the German Insurance Industry ), the Education Association of the Insurance Industry (BWV) and the Employers' Association of Insurance Companies in Germany (AGV).

He heads the Bavarian State Board of Trustees as chairman of the Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft and has a teaching position at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich. Walthes is an active reserve officer .
