The building with the postal address Frankendamm 5 is a listed building on Frankendamm in Stralsund .

The three-storey , eight-axle clinker building was built in the early 1930s as the “naval construction authority”.

The northern axis is preferred as a raised risalit . The other seven axes show a strictly symmetrical structure in the facade .

The house is located on the outskirts of the city ​​area recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage site of the “ historic old towns of Stralsund and Wismar ”. It is entered in the list of architectural monuments in Stralsund with the number 196.

The Stralsund district office of the Ministry for State Security resided in the building until 1989 . A memorial plaque on the house reminds of this.
