Frankenstrasse 42 (Stralsund)
The house with the postal address Frankenstraße 42 is a listed building on Frankenstraße in Stralsund .
The core of the two-storey , three-axle gabled house dates from the 16th century; the gable to the courtyard has been preserved from this period.
In 1736 the facade was renewed. It has grooved building edges. A flat central projection accommodates the arched portal niche . A tail gable rises above the strong main cornice, the lower area of which was redesigned for residential purposes in 1910.
The house is located in the core area of the city area recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage site of the “ historic old towns of Stralsund and Wismar ”. It is entered in the list of architectural monuments in Stralsund from 1997 with the number 237.
