The house with the postal address Frankenstraße 57 is a listed building on Frankenstraße in Stralsund .

The building complex between Langenstrasse and Frankenstrasse was built in several stages during the second half of the 19th century. It belonged to the “Pomeranian Iron Foundry and Machine Construction Actien-Gesellschaft”. The front to Frankenstrasse has two brick buildings .

The elongated, three-storey and nine-axis Western Construction has issued a red and yellow brick facade was built in 1872. The windows on the ground floor and the second floor are segmentbogig executed. The windows on the first floor are arched closed. The building is on the corner of Frankenstrasse and Jacobichorstrasse .

The eastern, narrower building has two and a half stories and was built in 1889. The five-axis building has flat, gabled projections on the sides .

There are two more brick buildings belonging to the building complex on Langenstrasse: a three-storey storage building with round and segment-arched windows and panels and a single-storey factory building with high round-arched windows.

The building is located in the core area of ​​the city ​​area recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage site as part of the “ Historic Old Towns Stralsund and Wismar ”. It is entered in the list of architectural monuments in Stralsund from 1997 with the number 248.
