Frankie Boyle

Francis Martin Patrick Boyle (born August 16, 1972 in Glasgow ) is a Scottish comedian . He was best known for appearing on the UK comedy TV show Mock the Week .

Life

Boyle was born in Glasgow, the youngest of three children. He first appeared as a comedian after completing his school career in Glasgow when he won the 1996 Daily Telegraph Open Mic award . He was known across the UK for his regular appearances on the BBC Two comedy show Mock the Week until he left in 2009. From 2008 until 2009 he also wrote a column in the Scottish Daily Record , which he gave up because he was forbidden to publish jokes about Michael Jackson . He currently writes for The Sun .

Boyle lives in the city of his birth with his partner and their two children.
