Frans Seda

Franciscus "Frans" Xaverius Seda (born October 4, 1926 in Flores , Dutch East Indies , † December 31, 2009 in Pondok Indah, Jakarta , Indonesia ) was an Indonesian politician .

biography

Frans Seda, who comes from a Catholic family, was appointed Minister for Plantations in 1963 by President Sukarno in his cabinet, to which he only belonged until 1964.

After General Suharto was appointed Prime Minister in 1966, he was appointed Finance Minister in his government of the New Order ( Orde Baru ). As part of a cabinet reshuffle, after his official takeover of the presidency on March 27, 1968, he became Minister of Communications and Tourism and finally left the government in 1973 after a five-year term in office.
