František Kopecký

František Kopecký SDB (born May 17, 1931 in Halenkov , Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech religious and Roman Catholic moral theologian .

Life

František Kopecký made his first religious professorship on August 16, 1949. In the 1960s he left for Italy . He was ordained a priest on December 21, 1968 . In 1975 he became a lecturer at the Theological College of Philosophy and Benediktbeuern in Upper Bavaria Benediktbeuern . There he received a moral theology chair in 1989, which he held until 1999. Only after the political change in 1989 was he able to return to the Czech Republic , where he also worked in part. His main research interests are the moral theology of the Middle Ages and the Age of Enlightenment.
